Notary Public Services

1. Prepare your document: Ensure it is complete and ready for notarization.
2. Gather identification: Bring a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, state ID, or passport.
3. Verify identity: The notary will check your ID to confirm your identity.
4. Sign in presence: Sign the document while the notary observes.
5. Complete notarization: The notary will finalize the certificate, affix their seal, and log the details in their journal before returning the notarized document to you.
Apostille services

1. Identify the Document Type:
Determine whether your document is:
A public document issued by the state (e.g., birth certificate, marriage certificate)
A notarized document (e.g., power of attorney, affidavit)
2. Prepare the Document:
For vital records (birth, death, marriage certificates), obtain a certified copy from the appropriate county or California Department of Public Health (CDPH).
For private documents, ensure they are properly notarized by a California notary public.
3. Verify Notarization (if applicable):
Confirm the notary’s information is correct and that the notarization meets California standards.
Notarized documents must not be more than 10 years old in some cases.
4. Pay the Apostille Service Fees:
As of now, all Apostille fees very on what is needed.
Payment can be made via Cash or Zelle (other payment methods coming soon).
5. Documents Submission:
In Person (optional but faster):
I will visit the Secretary of State’s at the Los Angeles office.
6. Receive the Apostille:
Once I have completed the apostille service with the SOS; You’ll receive your original document back with an attached apostille certificate confirming authenticity.

Bring Valid Identification:

Both parties must be present on the day of appointment no proxies.

Both parties must present valid government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver's license, passport).

Proof of residence is required in the county of Los Angeles.

Complete the Application Form:

Fill out the confidential marriage license application in person.

Request a Certified Copy (Optional):

Submit a request and pay a fee ($17-$25) if you want a certified copy for legal name change, benefits, etc.

Remember, Only the spouses or those with a court order may request a copy due to its confidential status.

Pay the License Fee:

Fees vary by package selected, please call for prices.

Receive the Confidential Marriage License:

Issued immediately once requirements are met.

Valid for 90 days from the date of issuance time stamped by county clerk at the bottom of the certificate.

Get Married:

Must be married by an authorized officiant (minister, judge, priest, etc.).

The officiant must complete and sign the license after the ceremony.

Return the Completed License:

The officiant must return the completed license to the issuing County Clerk's office.

The couple does not get a copy unless they request a certified copy.
